Thermoplastic PolyOlefin (TPO) ・ Styrene Elastomer
|
Classification : Thermo-Poly-Olefin (TPO)
|
Features
|
Thermo-Poly-Olefin is the one of three major thermoplastic elastomers along
with vinyl chlorides and styrene elastomers. It is polypropylene(PP) containing
particles of ethylene-propylene rubber (EPDM,EPM). Therefore, this synthetic
resin has both the excellent elasticity like rubber and the formability
like plastic. Because of these features, this material has potential for
future growth in various field.
Thermal property : Continuous use is possible from -60 to 100 ℃. It does not harden at high temperatures and maintains its elasticity at low temperatures. Weatherability : TPO has excellent weatherability. It is much better than natural-rubber system products in respect to ozone resistance. Chemical resistance : TPO is resistant to acid, alkali, alcohol, acetone. Note:it swells when exposed to nonpolar solvent (aromatic organic solvent, etc). Low specific gravity : It's low specific gravity (0.9) reduces the weight of products. Eco friendly : TPO does not release Dioxins because it contains no chlorine. Others : TPO can achieve many colors because it is colored by pigments. It can be jointed by thermal fusion bonding. No migration occurs because it does not contain special additive agents. |
